I am Philipp Lerche, luthier from Leipzig in Germany.

Since many years, I have been working on the construction of all kinds of plucked instruments.

I have oriental as well as european plucked instruments in my repertoir.

The classical guitar is my favourite!

On this site, I would like to introduce you to my lovingly hand-crafted instruments.

I am mostly building guitars according to the construction plans of Antonio Torres.

Since I heard an original Torres guitar for the first time, I knew my goals regarding the sound.

I do also build custom replicas using different plans from early and contemporary luthiers around the globe. Also repair or restoration works are regulary done by myself. I brought several histroric instruments back to live.

I am using fine, air dried and equally native as well as exotic woods for the instruments.

It is pure love which is driving me to enrich the world with beautiful sounding instruments.
